The third week in Farmen kendis was set to be a drama-free week for this year’s tenants. In Wednesday’s episode, it all took an abrupt turn. Just before the first general election, a possible sabotage was discovered.

When none of the participants took responsibility for the sabotage, the big farmer of the week, who was recycling influencer Ingrid Vik Lysne (31), chose to bring up the sabotage when she had to choose the first champion.

This did not sit well with the celebrity chef Trond Moi (53), who felt accused of having been partly responsible or responsible for the sabotage.

The exchange of words, which took place outside in the courtyard, had a strong impact on Lysne, who broke down in tears.

Now Moi tells TV 2 that he regrets it.

– In retrospect, I wish I hadn’t brought it up with her the way I did.

Unexpected sabotage

Moi says that all week he had been bragging about Lysne as a big farmer, and had little to complain about the work she had done.

– Ingrid was one of those I liked best. She always made a great effort and a good job, says the 53-year-old to TV 2.

The celebrity chef himself had not caught on to the sabotage, which was discovered just minutes before the first champion election. That is why he was put off by Lysne bringing it up during the election.

– For me, it came as a great surprise. First of all, I felt sorry for her because I saw how it affected her. She was very good as a large farmer, and corrected both me and others in a fine way. But I’m not a fan of bringing things up in plenary.

The influencer tells TV 2 that she was very upset by the possible sabotage.

– I didn’t feel there was an atmosphere for sabotage that week. Everyone worked so hard and it wasn’t like it ruined the week’s assignment either. But I also knew that that’s how the “game” is in there.

Lysne tells her first suspects Aleksander Sæterstøl (27) and Christopher Mørch Husby (33), who had discovered the tool hidden in the forest. When both denied having anything to do with the sabotage, and started pointing the finger at other participants, she snapped.

Lysne says that she was already emotional when Moi started criticizing her, and therefore the tears started to roll.

– Firstly, I was completely devastated after the sabotage, and in addition I had just chosen Ørnulf as the first champion. Then Trond came and said I had a bad leadership style, and then I just thought “no, not now”.

– It was bad timing!

The celebrity chef believed that Lysne should have brought up the sabotage with those she suspected were behind it, instead of all together.

– I wouldn’t do it that way, because then everyone feels accused, says the chef.

Moi, on the other hand, says he has sympathy for the influencer, and understands that she was put in a difficult situation when the sabotage was discovered just before the election.

– I understand that it came just before the first champion election, and therefore it was difficult for her to take it one by one. I can understand that she took it to heart as she thought it was one of us, and probably felt betrayed which must have been crazy. It was a rotten thing to do to her.

The 31-year-old, for his part, understands that it came on suddenly for Moi, but even felt it was the first opportunity to address the sabotage with the participants.

– We discovered the sabotage ten minutes before the primary election, so that’s why I brought it up then. Everyone but Trond had caught on, so he was very surprised by it and felt I was accusing others.

However, the influencer still believes that it was the wrong time.

– He may have had a point, but the timing was bad!

Have come out of it stronger

After a while, when Moi had been approached by Marit Andreassen (56) about why he had chosen the wrong time, he apologized to Lysne. It was something she appreciated.

– I think most things can be repaired with an apology. So when Trond did it, and said sorry for the moment he brought it up, we moved on, says Lysne.

Moi himself believes that their relationship was strengthened after this incident, which Lysne agrees with.

– It was nice to talk about it, and we got through it strengthened. We gained even more respect for each other, and I think our friendship improved after that, says the celebrity chef.

– If you manage to say sorry, then there is a short way to a better relationship. Trond looked so perfect in there, had good morals, cooked and was good to everyone. So it was kind of good to see he wasn’t perfect either! So the fact that he said sorry meant a lot, says the influencer.

You can see Farmen kendis on Tuesdays at 21:40, and Wednesdays and Sundays at 20 on TV 2 Direkte, and whenever you want on TV 2 Play.
