The Central Bank (BCRA) approved this Thursday a new adjustment to the dollar stocks that will affect payments in dollars abroad.
These are measures to finance the payment of the import of professional services and freight between related companies and provided for prior authorization for the payment of interest on intra-company debt, which together represent a postponement of payments in foreign currency for US$2,000 million until the end of the year.
In the event that the creditor is a counterparty linked to the debtor, prior authorization will be required until the end of the year to access the exchange market to pay interest services on commercial debts for imports of goods and services and/or financial loans with the outside.
In addition, the BCRA board authorized companies to make remunerated deposits in official dollars for the amount in pesos equivalent to the unpaid interest or the use of own available currencies that apply to the payment of commitments when the creditor is a related counterparty. .
The measure on market access to cancel the importation of services does not affect the payment of services that are currently subject to the PAIS tax, such as entertainment platforms Netflix, Spotify, Youtubeetc., which will continue to be carried out as at present.
The services that must be paid after 60 (sixty) calendar days from the date of approval of the SIRASE declaration are:
- Legal, accounting and managerial services.
- Advertising services, market research and public opinion surveys.
- Architectural, engineering and other technical services.
- Other business services.
For access to the market for cancellation before 60 days, the prior approval of the Central Bank will be required.
In the event that the payments correspond to related counterparties abroad for freight services or other transport services, the payment will be made after 90 calendar days from the effective date of service provision.
