Michoacán, Mexico .- The Michoacán Attorney General’s Office confirmed the murder of Oliver Valle Cuadra, a worker at the State Finance and Administration Secretariat, reported missing since December 17.

During the search actions for Oliver, the Prosecutor’s Office located yesterday human remains burned and buried under a cement block in a property of the Joya de la Huerta ranch, in the municipality of Morelia.

Prosecutor Adrián López Solís reported that after the autopsy of the law and the genetic identification tests, it was found that the remains belong to Oliver, 26 years old.

“Once genetic experts who carried out the respective studies, this afternoon determined that there is a genetic correspondence of the remains located with the processed genetic profile of Oliver Valle’s mother and father,” López Solís explained.

Oliver disappeared in the San Juanito Itzícuaro neighborhood after meeting with a woman, identified as 26-year-old Eva María Salgado, to receive a loan payment.

The autopsy established that Oliver died from a shot to the skull, and then his body was exposed to direct fire and buried in a cardboard box.

The Joya de la Huerta ranch, López Solís specified, is owned by the parents of Eva María, the main suspect in the young man’s murder.

The Prosecutor said that a reward of 100,000 pesos is offered for information that helps to locate and capture Eva María, who is currently a fugitive.

According to López Solís, everything indicates that Oliver was murdered the same day that he was reported missing, 11 days ago.

“The rest of the time indicates that the person investigated, today designated as the probable perpetrator, dedicated himself to hiding the human remains,” he said.

Salgado is accused of the crime of disappearance committed by individuals.
