She danced like there was no tomorrow! What a goosebumps evening…

On Friday evening stood professional dancer Renata Dozen (35) back on the big one „Let’s Dance“-Stage. The first time after suffering her third miscarriage in just a year six weeks ago.

Chief juror Joachim Llambi says to BILD after her comeback evening: “Renata is back with a grenade performance! Convincing, strong and sensual as we know her!”

Dancing against the grief – and for her great wish for a baby. What a strong woman! What an energy!

Renata Lusin danced with the other professional dancers right at the beginning of the live show at the opening, where she went full throttle for the first time since her break. She was also co-coach with juror Motsi Mabuse at the jury dance.

Lusin says to BILD: “I am a Durazell woman, I never stick my head in the sand and sink into depression (…) I always want to be strong and not be regretted. That feels wrong to me, I don’t want to be a victim.”

And further: “Miscarriage happened, I was sad and let’s go – now it’s on! I’m just like that. It’s the best way for me to deal with bad things – plus more tears and pity wouldn’t have gotten me pregnant again.”

Lusin is one of the big stars of the successful RTL show.

With a heavy heart she had to cancel her participation in the current season in February at short notice because she was pregnant again and her doctor had given her an absolute ban on sports and dancing to be on the safe side. But again it wasn’t to be.

Lusin: “After each of these miscarriages, I only allowed myself one day of mourning and tears, after that it had to go on. This is probably how my body protects me from feelings that are too dark.”

Renata went to the therapist

After the third miscarriage, Renata was recommended a visit to a psychologist in March. She says: “I followed the advice and spoke to this woman for an hour. Afterwards she said: ‘It’s nice to have met you, Mrs Lusin, but you don’t need a second therapy session.’ My husband Valentin is almost shocked at how I put it all away.”

Renata does not yet know the reason for the three miscarriages in such a short time.

Lusin: “We are currently doing a lot of investigations and tests. It could have been the small, benign mini-tumor – a three-millimeter prolactinoma – in my head.”

Due to this so-called prolactinoma, the milk hormone prolactin is produced excessively, which causes Renata’s prolactin level to rise too high and in turn inhibits menstruation.

Renata: “I take a drug against this, a so-called prolactin inhibitor. But after many investigations it was now clear that this drug had nothing to do with the miscarriage. Thank God I get pregnant again very quickly, it worked immediately every time. But what good does it do me if I keep losing the embryos right away?”

Despite the three miscarriages, Renata and Valentin want to keep trying to become parents. Surrogacy is out of the question for her, says Renata to BILD.

But she knows: “I will probably never be able to experience such a beautiful and relaxed pregnancy as other women. I will automatically always be afraid that something will happen again, which is certainly totally understandable given my story. But it is my big wish.”
