Endrick has only just finalized his transfer to Real Madrid when the next top Brazilian talent is already being linked with a move to Europe. According to ‘Globo’, Newcastle United have started negotiations to sign Flamengo’s Matheus França.
The 18-year-old offensive player is one of the discoveries of the past season at the Rio de Janeiro club. Across all competitions, França scored six goals in his debut professional season and lifted the Brazilian Cup and Copa Libertadores with Flamengo.
A release clause of 100 million euros is said to be anchored in his contract, but the 18-year-old is probably available for less. 14 million are obviously not enough. Brazilian media reported earlier in the week that Bayer Leverkusen, who have been linked with the jewel, bid the same sum for França. However, Flamengo refused. Newcastle will probably be able to offer more.
