According to the TASS news agency, the well-known nationalist writer Zakhar Prilepin was injured in a car bomb attack in Russia. Prilepin was in the city of Nizhny Novgorod, the state news agency reports, citing rescue services.
The Russian government accused the US and the West of supporting Ukrainian terrorism. “The fact has come true: Washington and NATO have nurtured another international terrorist cell – the Kiev regime,” Foreign Ministry spokeswoman in Moscow Maria Zakharova said. The United States and Great Britain bear “direct responsibility” for the attack, said Zakharova, but gave no proof of this.
