MADERA, California – The Madera County Sheriff’s Office and California Fire Department have issued an evacuation warning for the area of Cascadel Woods and Route 225 in Madera.
“There is a potential threat to life and property,” indicates the message from the authorities, so they encourage residents of the sector to evacuate their homes or be prepared to do so.
The so-called Whiskey fire has consumed 40 acres so far and is 10% contained, Cal Fire officials reported.
Cal Fire Madera unit firefighters recommend not waiting until the evacuation order if people feel in danger. They also advise considering additional time if you have pets or livestock to mobilize.
