The ambassador in Spain, Ricardo Alfonsín, spoke out in favor of the figure of Lula and did so through a message posted on social networks.

The son of former Argentine President Raúl Alfonsín, a leader with a long history in the UCR, accompanied his post with an image of the current president, Alberto Fernández, together with Lula, in full inauguration as Head of State.

Tweet by Ricardo Alfonsin

“Lula’s inauguration represents hope for Brazil and for the strategic unity of Latin America. We must strengthen democracy in the region, and not only political democracy, but also social democracy, threatened by the recipes of the neoliberal right,” wrote Alfonsín.

Without anyone asking him anything, but obfuscated by the diplomat’s comment, the former provisional president of the Senate, Federico Pinedo, crossed it on Twitter.

Ricardo Alfonsín celebrated Lula's inauguration and Pinedo did not like it at all

“Dear @RICALFONSIN, disqualifying the adversary as undemocratic is not democratic. Let’s think about that so as not to fall into error. Democracy belongs to everyone, it belongs to the whole, ”Pinedo said from his own account.
