Culiacán, Sinaloa, April 21, 2023.- Governor Rubén Rocha Moya together with the president of the State DIF System Eneyda Rocha Ruiz began the program for the delivery of glasses ‘A Look with Well-being’ so that girls and boys in the State do not have no obstacles in their development and learning inside and outside the schools.

Rocha explained that before, girls and boys used to fall behind in their studies since due attention was not given to their lack of vision or hearing, however, he mentioned that his government is going to remedy these situations so that those who have these problems They can have glasses.

“Now, fortunately, children are already checked and in that case, we are going to remedy all the children who have this problem, we are going to give them glasses, everyone in the state so that they start using them,” he said.

For her part, the president of the State DIF System, Eneyda Rocha Ruiz, mentioned that up to now a review has been carried out for 43,157 girls and boys in the state and that, in this first stage of the program, 10,000 lenses will be delivered, of which 7,224 are already ready to be delivered.

The president of the State DIF added that Culiacán, Ahome, Navolato, Salvador Alvarado, El Fuerte and Choix have already been attended to and that they will continue touring the schools of all the remaining municipalities.

“The vision of 43,157 children have been treated and the vision of 43,157 children has been checked, the glasses that until now have been detected as being needed, of these 43,000 children there are 7,224 glasses, the first stage of glasses, Mr. Governor, there are 10,000 glasses, we already have 7,224 that are going to be delivered to the children, here in this elementary school in the morning shift there were 61 children who need it and it is 3 in the afternoon,” he clarified.

When making use of her voice, the first grade student Mara Sofía Barraza Gutiérrez, representing the beneficiary girls and boys, thanked the governor and the president of the State DIF for this program since thanks to him, 61 girls and boys from the shift morning shift and 15 of the afternoon shift will have the opportunity to see and learn better.

“Today I want to express how happy I feel because thanks to you, 61 classmates and friends from my school will have the opportunity to see better,” he said.
