Almost a year after it was recorded, the RTL show “Now it’s popping” is still not on TV. Five programs were probably shot for nothing.

Cologne – “The new RTL highlight “Now it’s popping!” is a game show with the ultimate wow factor,” RTL announced the recording of a new game show last summer. Now the show is apparently about to end.

RTL broadcast disappeared – game show “Now it’s popping” is on the brink

The RTL game show “Now it’s popping” has been in the starting blocks for almost a year – last July, five episodes of the program, which is intended to be a primetime show, were filmed in Cologne. But the program is broadcast by RTL presenter Laura Wontorra has not been presented yet.

When asked by DWDL.de, a spokeswoman for RTL confirmed that the program – similar to that of the series “Der Schiffsdoktor” – was not planned for the TV program “until further notice”.

Particularly bitter: RTL apparently spared no expense or effort in the games. In a first announcement, RTL stated that “visually high-quality and completely unpredictable games” were planned, which should “crack, explode and tear like crazy.”

RTL keeps new game show with Laura Wontorra under lock and key – “Now it’s popping” will not be broadcast

The program “Now it’s popping” is based on the British version of the game show “Breaking Point”. The prominent candidates never know “when exactly the so-called breaking point occurs in each challenge, but they have to get as close to it as possible. Whoever exceeds the game-decisive “Now it’s popping moment” loses.”

RTL promised its viewers “fun, thrills and surprising bang effects non-stop” and finally a show that “is not about knowledge or physique, but about intuition and gut feeling” – and is now leaving the viewers on dry land (more TV news read on RUHR24).

According to DWDL information, the reason for the missing program could possibly be the change in leadership at the top of RTL. After all, the German edition of the British “Breaking Points” has already been presented at two international media fairs, the BBC Showcase and MIPTV. So RTL fans don’t have to lose hope just yet.
