According to the press release from the Council of Ministers, the first beneficiaries of this increase are retirees. Indeed, those who took a pension of 10,000 Algerian dinars, they will benefit from a 50 percent revaluation, ie their pensions will increase to 15,000 DZD.

Young graduates looking for work and the unemployed will also be affected by this increase in income. For 2023, the unemployment benefit will increase from 13,000 to 15,000 Algerian dinars, an increase of 2,000 DZD. The sum is not substantial, but remember that a year ago, this pension did not exist.

In addition to the increase in unemployment benefits, young unemployed people will benefit from medical coverage (CNAS) throughout the job search period. In summary, they will be able to request the chifa card.

Regarding public sector workers, they will also be affected by the increase in wages. Unlike the other categories, the functions will not benefit from an immediate increase.

Indeed, the increase in the salaries of civil servants will go through stages during the two years of 2023 and 2024. As for the increase, it will vary between 4500 and 8500 Algerian dinars.
