What Victoria Donda said about INADI and its management

“In 2019 I was appointed as the head of a National Institute against Discrimination, Xenophobia and Racism (@inadi) totally underfunded, disarmed and emptied,” he stated on the social network.

“Today, in three years of management, we have built a federalized institution that generates public policies throughout the country capable of transforming reality into a more just and egalitarian one, and sets regional precedents in the fight against discrimination,” he added. .

“I leave knowing that transparency was a central axis of our management. All INADI policies were carried out within a transparent and efficient administration framework, managing to reduce the historical debt contracted by the Institute,” he said, defending his management.

“In this thread you will be able to see a part of what our work was between 2019 and 2022. 2023 will no longer find me in that institutional role, but I will always be where I need to be to continue fighting for our rights and stay by the side of the people! See you there!”, he concluded.

Victoria Donda’s resignation letter

On Thursday, December 29, at the last minute, Victoria Donda shared a letter in which she gave the reasons for her decision to resign, but continue to be a member of the Frente de Todos. “Today a cycle is closed with my departure from INADI, convinced that institutional responsibilities are stages of a longer path,” she wrote.

Victoria Donda was appointed to head INADI in 2019

“Without a doubt, the quarrels within the Frente de Todos of which I continue to be a part only weaken our position regarding the defense of the democratic system, an element that today should be our priority,” he questioned.

“Today I write these lines moving away from my institutional role as head of INADIrightly convinced that it stopped listening where it should be done the most”, she began.

“We stopped listening to the voices that for a long time we have been insisting on the need to establish instances to reach a necessary synthesis in the midst of a national management that each time left us with a more bitter and unresponsive to growing and complex demands for a society that expects more from us,” he added.

In this sense, she deepened her criticism and recounted the details of the reason for her resignation: “Strongly aggravating the foregoing, due to the fact that I am a woman and cannot find a legitimate space in the national government for our voices to be duly heard, a few minutes ago I I found out through Juan Manuel Olmos, Head of Advisors to the Presidency, about the possibility of my being pushed out of INADI, mainly as a consequence –according to what I was informed– of my political position regarding the current stage, an element that I repeatedly made visible in my public speech”.
