This Tuesday, the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) announced that former police officer Mario Enrique Pérez Chávez will be put on trial after being accused of the murder of his life partner Norma Carolina Figueroa Solís in Cuscatlán, in 2021.
According to the investigations, the defendant maintained an alibi in which he claimed that his wife, who was also a police officer, would have died as a result of an assault, however, it was the authorities who distorted his arguments.
Additionally, the FGR informed via Twitter that more information will be provided to the corresponding investigations before the Specialized Sentencing Court for a Life Free of Violence against Women.
Pérez, is being accused of the crime of aggravated femicide.
