The headline stressed that the trust of the population is now notorious, something that did not happen in past administrations and that even the security forces only represented repression.
“There are even children who run out as if one were their father or a relative and hug us. The same is true for adolescents and adults. This shows that the population approves of what is being done,” remarked Merino Monroy.
“The population is happy and we can see the results. The presence of gang members in the communities has been reduced and the issue of extortion has also been reduced abysmally,” added.
The official also assured that they will continue to be established in Soyapango, Tutunichapa and La Granjita. In addition, it highlights that with the fences gang members and drug traffickers have been captured.
