A samsung has not yet presented the long awaited Galaxy S23 FE, but rumors are already starting to be circulated on the net. The first big news is that it should come with the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor, the same one present in the Galaxy Z Flip 4 5G and Galaxy Z Fold 4 5G models, in a strategy to reduce the final price of the product. If confirmed, this would be the first time that a Fan Edition doesn’t come with Samsung’s Exynos chip.

Galaxy S23 FE may arrive with Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1

Although the current models of the Galaxy S23 family use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 For Galaxy chipset, a variant of the 8 Gen 2 with higher speed and made exclusively for Samsung models, the latest rumors say that Samsung should choose to insert the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 under the hood of the Galaxy S23 FE.

According to Twitter user @OreXda, the goal of the South Korean giant is to reduce the final price of the product. See the tweet:

The choice of processor is surprising, as it would be the first time that a Fan Edition would not have an Exynos variant. O Galaxy S20 FEmuch loved in the market, was the last model that had a variant with the Snapdragon 865 processor. S21 FE arrived only with the Exynos 2100 processor and maybe that’s why it wasn’t so successful.

It is still too early to point out which rumors may come true, not least because we did not have the launch of the Galaxy S22 FE, which puts even more doubt on the existence of this year’s launch.

So, looking forward to the launch of the Galaxy S23 FE? Do you prefer Exynos or Snapdragon?
