The great strength of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is above all its versatility in all photo situations. Regardless of the mode requested, the phone knows how to produce a satisfactory shot. Most of the photos have accurate colors, precision and above all a great richness in detail. All the lenses offer good quality photos and it is even possible to have fun with the x10 and x3 zooms. In short, you are entitled to a complete, but above all powerful photo experience.
For its autonomy
It is in this area that Samsung’s premium smartphone has made the most progress. After a very disappointing model in this area, the S23 Ultra is close to the heights. The 5000 mAh battery achieved real feats during our test. In use, the phone has taken two full days of autonomy without flinching, even starting a third. In order to be more precise, we submitted it to our ViSer protocol to simulate mixed use. The mobile fell to 10% after 15 hours and 14 minutes, a very nice score.
If the phone comes without a charger in its box, you have to get used to it now, it is possible to invest 50 euros in the official 45 W mains unit. This allows the S23 Ultra to be 100% in one hour on mains.
For its user experience
The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra also has a major asset: the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. This processor is accompanied in its basic version by 8 GB of RAM. The smartphone is thus capable of running even the most demanding mobile applications. Above all, the phone has a good ability to handle heat.
For its part, the One UI software in version 5.1 facilitates the use of the smartphone with one hand. The Galaxy S23 Ultra is full of customizations of all kinds to understand the use of the latter. You can even use the S Pen to get a little more creative.
For its superb screen
As usual, Samsung delivers a fairly exceptional performance in terms of its touch screen. The Galaxy S23 Ultra has a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED panel capable of offering QHD definition. Above all, it offers adaptive refreshment of up to 120 Hz. Our measurements revealed a brightness of 1609 cd / m2, an impressive increase.
This touch interface is especially highlighted by the design. This is the only area within the smartphone that has not undergone profound changes visible to the naked eye. Yet the grip of the phone is more assured and pleasant. Daily use in general is ensured thanks to a skilful general ergonomics.
Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra: the weak point to know
The main weak point of the phone is in its pricing. Indeed, in its basic version with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is available at a price of 1419 euros. An already high price to which you must add the additional 50 euros for the 45 W charger. At the same price, it is also possible to buy an iPhone 14 Pro Max.
