Samsung is preparing for the release of its next flagship expected for the month of February. The South Korean giant has already started testing the One UI 5.1 interface which will most likely equip the Galaxy S23 as soon as it is released.
The Galaxy S23 could well land next year with One UI 5.1 interface pre-installed. Samsung which should present its next flagship on the 1er February 2023 is preparing for its launch. We already know the technical data sheet of the Galaxy S23, S23 + and S23 Ultra, but we did not yet know what software would be preinstalled on the smartphones when they arrived. Samsung is testing One UI 5.1the latest version of its Android interface.
Samsung rolled out One UI 5 to the Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra in October. The Galaxy Z Fold 4, Z Flip 4, and other high-end smartphones/tablets received the update in November. One UI 5 introduced new features that improve Android 13 like easier lock screen modification, a Modes and Routines tab to improve concentration, easier management of widgets, etc. We therefore expect One UI 5.1 to continue this momentum with the Galaxy S23.
One UI 5.1 is being tested on the Galaxy S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra
The account Twitter “@SamSWUpdate” who monitors new updates that Samsung is rolling out for its smartphones discovered the One UI 5.1 test. He shared the screenshot of an update with the version number S90xEXXU2CVL7. According to SamSWUpdate, this screenshot shows that the One UI 5.1 interface will be tested on the Galaxy S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra.
We don’t have more information on One UI 5.1 yet, but this mysterious update is probably proof that Samsung has planned to roll out the new interface directly with the Galaxy S23 and their new colors. Of course, it is still too early to know the features brought by One UI 5.1but the new interface will likely improve the performance of Android 13.
Finally, we must also remember that Samsung has promised faster software updates for its smartphones. So there is no doubt that One UI 5.1 will soon arrive on older smartphones after the Galaxy S23 in February.
