The Empleados de Comercio neighborhood, in the department of Santa Lucía, in the province of San Juan, experienced moments of commotion when, after the search of a house, by the police of the province, a macabre situation was discovered that included the killing of dogs and cats, and their storage in refrigerators. No people lived in the house, but the neighbors were aware of the presence of dozens of dogs and cats, some in very poor health, and others dead. As justification, the main culprit would have indicated that she “killed dogs and cats to absorb their energy.”
This shocking finding began on Wednesday of last week, when four animal protection associations received a call from a neighbor who announced nauseating odors. “Upon arriving at the place, we verified that it was true because it was not possible to enter due to the intense smell,” the activists revealed to HUARPE DIARY, from the province of San Juan. The neighbors also called 911, were in the house, broke the street gate and found three dead dogs. At that time, someone warned the main suspect, who used to be present at the house infrequently, of this situation.
The Ecological Police and workers from the provincial Secretary of State for the Environment arrived at the scene. According to the protectors, they waited for the search warrant from the Justice, but the endorsement was only given this Monday, and there they entered to thoroughly review. The house belongs to the mother of the woman who is accused of frequenting the place. This woman appeared there before the authorities and opened the doors of the home for them to enter.
The scene began in a very bad way, but the worst was not yet known. “It was a mountain of poop, dirt everywhere and dogs and cats in terrible condition,” they said. “I had dogs locked in several rooms, three in the back and we found only one puppy,” they added. After this horrifying discovery, the woman handed over 11 animals of her own free will to the protectionists, but later she confessed to them that there were cats in one room, although she asked them not to enter said space. “From there we went to a refrigerator, we opened it and there was a nauseating smell. Worse still, we found part of animals, especially heads, of dogs and cats”, they detailed.
“We kill dogs with my brother to absorb energy and live longer. We cut the umbilical cord of the puppies”, affirmed the protectionists about the woman’s statements about this horrifying event.
