Three people, including two minors, died in the last few hours when they were involved in a serious accident on provincial route No. 13 near the town of San Vicente. Three other people were rushed to the local hospital.

Police sources announced that the fatal episode occurred shortly before midnight on Sunday on the provincial artery, at a time when a Peugeot 505 vehicle under the command of Juan Pereira (it was traveling in the direction of San Vicente-El Soberbio), collided head-on with a Volkswagen Vento, which was traveling in the opposite direction.

Due to the strong impact, a man identified as Juan Alberto Pereira, 37, and two minors recognized as Juan Gabriel Herculano, 13, and Nahiara Adriana Campos, 7, lost their lives on the spot. In addition, three other people suffered injuries of varying severity from which were transferred to the local hospital.

The members of the San Vicente 2nd Police Station, the Scientific Police and the Volunteer Firefighters worked at the scene, who transferred the three injured to the hospital. For his part, the police doctor who examined the fatalities determined that they had multiple injuries and that they died on the spot.

On the other hand, the Investigating Court No. 3 of San Vicente ordered that the Volkswagen driver, a 33-year-old man, be notified of the investigation of the case and that the bodies be delivered to their relatives.
