The Satechi Magnetic 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Stand is a MagSafe charging stand for the Apple Eco System. A total of three loading areas are available. The Apple iPhone can be charged with 7.5 watts. The charging station does not have to be equipped with your own Apple Watch charging cable, as there is already a charger for the Smartwatch. The magnetic charging station charges the Apple Watch with 2.5 watts. If you don’t yet have an Apple Watch but would like to buy one, you can remove the adapter and plug a corresponding cable into the USB port instead. This can be used to supply power to headphones or other gadgets that cannot yet be charged wirelessly. Although the chic look of the charging station is reduced in this way, the wireless design can be restored at any time. The Qi charging station supplies devices such as the AirPods Pro with 5 watts. The charging station weighs 360 grams.
The iPhone is held magnetically in its charging station. The smartphone can be placed on the charging station either in landscape or portrait format. If the iPhone is used with a case, it should support MagSafe. Optionally, magnetic stickers can also be attached inside. Two LEDs are attached to the front of the charging station. This is used to visualize the current loading processes. Satechi has opted for a pleasant luminosity when displaying the charging process. If the charging station is set up on the bedside table, the LED brightness is usually not perceived as annoying.
No extra charger is required to charge the Apple Watch: the station already has a corresponding charging surface. If you only need a charging station for the Apple Watch at home, Apple’s own charger can now be carried in the car or in your pocket, for example. The Smartwatch from Apple holds firmly on the magnetic charging surface. If you have forgotten to charge the watch, you can reach for the charging station before leaving the house to take the USB-C adapter with you. The Apple Watch can then be charged on the go, e.g. on a MacBook or using a car adapter. The charging station is suitable for the desk and the bedside table. Our colleague Timm Mohn placed the charging station in the hallway. With the help of the wireless charging station, the general number of cables at work or in the living room can be reduced. Anyone who otherwise uses a charger with three outgoing cables will see a clear difference on the desk the first time the charging station is used. An optional power adapter is required for the Satechi Magnetic 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Stand. The manufacturer states that a 20 watt USB-C charger is sufficient for a reliable power supply. A suitable USB-C cable, on the other hand, is already included in the scope of delivery. The cable measures one meter and can be attached behind a chest of drawers, for example.
