The baby was in diapers and with a naked torso, and he got there due to an oversight of the father, who could not understand how his son had gotten to that place. “I was very high. Desperation grabbed me and I climbed up as best I could. The other man and the policeman helped me. I reached the window and put the baby’s body on top so it wouldn’t fall. Then I grabbed it so it wouldn’t fall suddenly into the ground,” Escobar told local media.
The video was released by the Córdoba police and quickly went viral on social networks. Escobar himself recounted that the boy’s father “was asleep and with the television turned on at a very high volume.”
Police reported that the baby was returned to the father’s custody. Escobar said that “it was a somewhat tense situation” to meet the father inside the home, to whom he had to explain the situation, of which he had not been aware.
