FC Schalke 04 can apparently soon welcome a new central defender. As the editorial team of Transfermarkt insider ‘Gianluca Di Marzio’ reports, the Royal Blues are about to sign Moritz Jenz. It is a loan with an option to buy.
The native of Berlin is currently on loan from FC Lorient to Celtic Glasgow. However, the cooperation between the 23-year-old and the Scots should be broken off prematurely. According to ‘Transfermarkt.de’, Jenz has already said goodbye to his teammates, the Schalke change is imminent.
Isidor loan unlikely
Meanwhile, S04 apparently has worse cards in poker involving Wilson Isidor from Lokomotiv Moscow. Yesterday, Monday, there seemed to be enough reason for optimism in the Royal Blues. ‘Sport1’ reported that the Revierklub has already reached an agreement with the 22-year-old winger. Talks with Moscow are only about the amount of the rental fee and the subsequent purchase option.
The situation now looks different. “I don’t think a loan is possible”, quoted the Russian ‘Sport-Express’ Emmanuel Lacroix, the young Frenchman’s advisor. The sports website therefore headlines offensively: “Isidor will not go to Schalke.”
Are you going to France?
Quite possible, after all, the Royal Blues lack the money for a permanent transfer. And according to ‘Sport1’, Isidor does not want to make use of the special rule introduced by FIFA after the start of the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine, which allows players from countries at war to suspend their contract and switch clubs.
