It was at 23.30 on Sunday that the man himself contacted the police and said that he was injured. He was then found outdoors at Ekhagen in Jönköping, but it is unclear if that is the crime scene.
– When we arrived at the scene, we saw that the man had suffered a wound in the lower body with a sharp object, says Robert Gustafsson, officer on duty at the police region East.
The man is not a resident of Jönköping County. As of Monday morning, no one has been arrested and it is still unclear what actually happened.
The man will now be questioned about the incident, which is classified as serious assault.
Otherwise, it has been a quiet night in Jönköping County, according to the police.
