A postal worker was robbed while emptying a mailbox. The police are looking for witnesses to the robbery in Essen-Borbeck.
Four unknown young people are said to have robbed a postal worker in Essen-Borbeck. As reported by the police, the 41-year-old was loading the post into her vehicle at around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday (January 18) at a mailbox in Möllhoven.

Suddenly four strangers stood in front of her and threatened her with a stabbing weapon. The suspects then stole several postal boxes including letters from the car; they also stole a key and a mail scanner.
The Essen police are hoping for evidence from witnesses
The four then fled in the direction of Neuweseler Straße. According to the police, the strangers were described as young and dressed in dark clothes, they were wearing hoods at the time of the crime. The police are investigating aggravated robbery. Witnesses are asked to contact the police on 0201/829-0.
