A total of eight people were charged. Seven people are now sentenced by the district court. The penalties vary from roughly 10 years in prison to probation. A man in his 50s who was charged with a serious money laundering offense is acquitted.
– I can state that the district court has landed in roughly the same penalties as I have requested, but a slightly milder criminal classification. I now have to go over the verdict again and see if I should appeal or not, says Deputy Chief Prosecutor Jenny Karlsson.
Found submachine guns
During the summer of 2022, five people from Skövde and Töreboda municipalities were arrested after the police raided. The raid was carried out partly against a car in Skövde where two fully automatic submachine guns with associated ammunition were found, partly against a drug cache in Moholm, Töreboda, where large quantities of narcotics were stored.
