Several girls injured at a Wimbledon school after a car crashed

Several girls have been injured after a car crashed into the walls of their school in Wimbledon. The Police investigate the event but clarify that, in principle, they do not link it to a terrorist act.

The Camp Road Studies Preparatory School is only for girls between the ages of 4 and 11 and is around Wimbledon Common. “We are aware that there are several victims, but we hope to receive the report of the injuries they have soon,” they reported.

Units of the London Fire Brigade and medical services came to the scene to treat the injured.

For the deputy for Wimbledon, Stephen Hammond, it is an event that “is extremely serious, distressing and worrying.” This was stated on the BBC. Without hiding his anguish, he added: “There is a significant number of victims but I don’t know how many there are in total.”

The school center, as he described, is located a kilometer and a half from the town and on the route of several golf courses and private clubs.
