Several people were injured after an 89-year-old man lost control of his vehicle and crashed his car into pedestrians and other cars in Brooklyn on Wednesday night, according to police reports.

The driver apparently suffered a medical episode while driving, according to reports.

The incident happened at 76th Street and 18th Avenue in Bensonhurst shortly after 7 p.m.

Among the victims is a 20-year-old young man who was riding a scooter and a pedestrian who was at the scene. The man’s vehicle also hit a car parked at the site.

A total of five people were injured and transported to area hospitals, including two people who were driving in the vehicle of the driver who caused the incident.
