Three months after his departure from OM, El Pelado had found work in Spain by returning to the bench of the Seville club, which was then going through a serious crisis of results. Faced with this situation, the future of the technician already raises questions. Especially since he has less and less internal support. According to the Spanish press, the players would not adhere at all to the methods of Sampaoli, who also maintains an icy relationship with sporting director Monchi because of… differences over the transfer window. The former Marseille coach was expecting several recruits quickly, he has only obtained one so far (Loc Bad, on loan from Rennes).
If his future does not yet seem completely sealed, Sampaoli will play big in the next league games against Cadiz and Elche, two teams that accompany FC Sville at the bottom of the table. A misstep against the 18th or 20th in La Liga could thus be fatal to the former Argentina coach. Proof of a real threat, Monchi would have already made a first contact with Jos Bordalas, known in particular for his past prowess with Getafe (2016-2021) and free since his departure from FC Valencia at the end of last season.
