FC Genoa apparently wants to strengthen its offensive with a big name. As reported by ‘calciomercato.com’, those responsible have center forward Andrea Belotti from AS Roma on their list. Apparently, the Italian’s contract expires at the end of the season at Roma. Belotti will probably no longer be able to meet the conditions for an automatic contract extension with the Giallorossi in the remaining games.

The Rossoblù are currently playing in the second division in Italy, but have already been promoted. According to the report, the 29-year-old striker Belotti should also get his annual salary of three million at Genoa, but this is spread over several seasons due to the fixed salary cap. It remains to be seen whether the Italian international will find his way back to his old strength with the promoted team. In the current season, the right-footed player has not scored a single goal in Serie A and has fallen far short of expectations.
