The pop titan very gently: Instead of harsh criticism, Dieter Bohlen (68) goes on a cuddly course.

Where? In a big one interview with his ex-and-now-back home broadcaster RTL. After planks are known to be the long-running hit DSDS was kicked, he can now carry the last season to the finish. Something that makes Dieter maudlin.

Bohlen: “I’ll be honest, I had goosebumps on the first day. DSDS and Supertalent, these are my children, for whom I really did everything for 18 years.

And further: “If you are suddenly told that other people are doing it now – that hurt me back then. And just as it hurt me to stop back then, it was an incredibly beautiful day when I sat at the jury desk again for the first time. That touched me very much.”

Fluffy sentences from the Meeeega juror, who not only protects his DSDS protégés. But also private things in an interview with RTL. Among other things, an anecdote from shopping.

Because Dieter likes to help older women financially: “I pay for the purchases of every grandmother who stands in front of me at the bakery. They order three rolls and a piece of apple pie for the afternoon, and when you tell them, ‘I’ll pay for that right away’ – that look, so incredulous and grateful, I like that very much.”

By the way, what does his girlfriend Carina like so much about Dieter? “That I’m clever and a reliable partner”

But HIM was also recently helped out of a jam. When he had no cash for his parking ticket, according to Bohlen, a stranger took over the 18 euros.

The hit producer amazed: “The guy didn’t even know me, I’ve never seen him in my life, he didn’t look like he was a millionaire either. (…) There are still really cool people.”

Speaking of amazed. With this “confession” Dieter may shock a few fans: He is a believer and never goes to bed without prayer.

Bohlen: “I’m evangelical and pray every day. I rarely go to church, but I love it when the opportunity arises. I’ve been to church and prayed in all the major capitals of the world. I also like that the family prays at breakfast every day and could not fall asleep without prayer. For me, that is a certain humility and gratitude.”

The anniversary season of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” starts on January 14th.
