Singer Justin Timberlake was arrested on Long Island this morning for driving under the influence, according to authorities.
Suffolk County district attorneys say the former NSYNC band member will be arraigned in Sag Harborb, a seaside village in the Hamptons.
Timberlake has a concert scheduled at Madison Square Garden for Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.
As a young man, Timberlake was one of Disney’s little mice, and among his co-stars was his future girlfriend, Britney Spears.
He rose to fame in the popular boy band NSYNC and in 2002 embarked on a solo recording career.
As an actor, Timberlake has received acclaim in films such as “The Social Network” and “Friends with Benefits.”
He has won ten Grammy Awards and four Primetime Emmy Awards.
Last year, Timberlake made headlines when Spears released her memoir, “The Woman in Me.” Several chapters are dedicated to her relationship, including deeply personal details about a pregnancy, an abortion, and a painful breakup.
In March he released his first new album in six years, the wistful “Everything I Thought It Was,” a return to his well-known future funk sound.
