In early 2021 we had news about the return of the controversial shooter Six Days in Fallujah reported. The title from Highware Games had already caused discussions with its setting long before the planned release. After all, the tactical shooter is ultimately about the Second Battle of Fallujah. This is a military confrontation that was part of the Iraq war in the early 2000s. This very conflict, which took place after al Qaeda took over the country’s most important cities, was considered the fiercest in decades by Western troops. But even though the title should have been released last year, Six Days in Fallujah has been and still is quiet.

No info, no release

So far there has been no official announcement of any release dates given. Accordingly, the publisher Victura is confronted on Twitter with the question of when the title should actually appear.

We know it’s extremely important for us to answer this question, but we can’t set anything in stone just yet“, according to a statement by the publisher on Twitter in December. There was no official notification of the missed release window Reddit there had already been a rumor in September that the title would be announced internally in the year 2023 would have postponed. The tweet on which the rumor was based has since been deleted.

A strange story

Gamespot emphasizes that the title was announced in 2009. But publisher Konami pulled the plug first, until the title reappeared 12 years later. Just the publisher’s statement that the title no political statement would entail, caused discussions. A short time later it was stated that the shooter was a political statement would entail.
