LTuesday’s strike, the second day of mobilization against the pension reform in France, will still be very popular in rail transport, with very few regional TER and Transilien trains and “highly disrupted” TGV traffic, the SNCF announced on Sunday. .

On the TGVs, the SNCF expects to see one train out of three on average. The Eurostar and Thalys should however run almost normally.


Regional train traffic will be more affected with two TER out of 10 on average. Intercity traffic will also be “very severely disrupted”, and night trains will be completely interrupted the nights of Monday to Tuesday and Tuesday to Wednesday.

In its press release, SNCF Voyageurs recommends that travelers who can “cancel or postpone their trips” and “favor teleworking”. Users are invited to “check the circulation of trains” Monday from 5 p.m. on the SNCF sites and applications.

The General Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGAC) is also planning a strike by air traffic controllers and has therefore preventively asked the airlines to cancel one in five flights in the connections scheduled for Tuesday with Paris-Orly.
