Different social organizations announced the holding of a national protest that will also have an impact in the city, where It is expected that they can carry out a new traffic cut on the descent of the La Plata-Buenos Aires Highway.
The Central de Trabajadores de la Argentina Autónoma (CTA) and the Classist and Combative Current (CCC) called for mobilization throughout the country, for which roadblocks and acts will be carried out throughout Argentina demanding an emergency wage increase for workers in the popular economy and for formal wage earners.
In this context, the CCC indicated that during the day it will focus on the descent of the highway, so delays or even the total blockage of traffic in the area are expected.
“In a brutally rich country, the adjustment on the popular sectors does nothing more than benefit the most concentrated sectors of the economy such as the Large Landowners, the Cereals and the 20 companies that produce 95% of the food our people consume”the group maintained through a statement that it spread on social networks.
In addition, they demand from the national government several measures that they consider urgent to curb hunger, homelessness and inflation: the aforementioned emergency increase, suspending the agreement with the IMF, the reopening of the Potenciar Trabajo program and food delivery in time, form and amount needed.
