It was at four o’clock on Sunday morning that the alarm about a violent explosion in a multi-family building was received by the police.
– When I opened the front door, smoke came from the stairwell and shards of glass were on the floor in front of the blown-out windows, Dan Melander told SVT, who woke up to the loud bang.
Later that day, a 25-year-old man from Södertälje was arrested. He is now reasonably suspected of the bombing.
Previously known to the police
The man is already known to the police, he has been convicted of drug offences, among other things.
The man is one of several Södertälje residents who are believed to be involved in various crimes in Stockholm recently that are suspected of having connections to the criminal environment.
