After many public buildings in Nenzing have already been equipped with photovoltaic systems, “Sonnenkraft Nenzing” is continuing on the path it has taken with two further projects on the roof of the family center on Gaisstraße and the recycling station:

“The economical use of energy and the use of renewable energy sources is an important goal of the e5 team and the market town of Nenzing,” describes Edwin Gassner from the building authority. “The photovoltaic systems have a total output of 59 kWp. This corresponds to an area of around 306 square meters and generates around 60,000 kilowatt hours of green electricity per year. In comparison, a family home with four people needs around 4,000 kilowatt hours of electricity.”

“With this green power plant, we are making ourselves a little more independent of rising electricity prices in the future and are thus relieving the community budget and, above all, the environment in the long term,” explains Edwin Gaßner. And as with the systems on the roof of the Nenzing house, the soccer club home or the building yard, we also want to finance these solar power plants with the help of citizen participation. This enables citizens to make a worthwhile and secure form of capital investment – with the certainty that the financial contribution will be used sustainably and locally.” An information evening will be held on Tuesday, January 31 for those interested. It starts at 7 p.m. in the Wolfhaus attic. If you have any questions in advance, you can also contact Edwin Gaßner directly (T 05525 62215-120 or 0664 4382500).
