By now, you’re probably familiar with at least some of the twists and turns associated with the deal between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard. Currently, the US FTC (Federal Trade Commission) is trying to prevent the deal from going through with a lawsuit that Sony is also a big part of.
In short, Sony claims that Microsoft would become too big together with Activision Blizzard and that Playstation cannot afford to lose big titles like Call of Duty. Microsoft has now responded with a lawsuit demanding that Sony reveal all the games they have in the works.
This is so that the court can determine how robust Sony’s gaming calendar looks, and determine how strong it would be with or without Call of Duty. For regular gamers, this means we can get an unusually early preview of what Sony has in store for basically the entire generation.
