You are currently viewing Sony State of Play – New PlayStation announcements today: This is how you can be there live

The friendly spider from the neighborhood probably won’t do the honors today.

Today’s Thursday is really tough. Not only is the Nintendo Direct taking place on September 14th, 2023 (4 p.m. by the way, more information about that here), but Sony has also thought: Oh yes, it’s time for a State of Play again. Is Microsoft still spontaneously in the mood for an Xbox Showcase today? Wait, wait…

Kratos, Spider-Man and Aloy don’t have time today. That’s why the program in the State of Play will be a little different. We have all the information ready for you.

Here’s what you need to know about today’s State of Play

As always, let’s start with the cold, hard facts:

  • When? September 14th at 11 p.m., so you better go to sleep first or have a coffee/energy drink/whatever.
  • Where? Either at YouTube or on Twitch and even up TikTok it works now. We are getting old …

Which games will be shown?

Our fortune telling ball is currently in the dishwasher. But what we already know: It will most likely be no first-party titles from Sony shown, spontaneous surprises left out. Or as Sony puts it themselves:

Tomorrow’s edition will focus on updates on recently announced games coming to PlayStation consoles. From indie and PS VR2 highlights to the biggest new titles from our third-party partners, our latest show has something for all gamers!

Big words – we’ll find out in a few hours whether they’ll be followed by big actions. Are you there? Or are you still in Nintendo delirium at 11 p.m.? We’re excited, so feel free to let us know in the comments! Oh yes, and of course we would also like to know from you which games you are hoping for at State of Play, so you can comment on that too!
