A new patch joins your party and is coming soon.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is already well on its way to the gaming hall of fame, but the role-playing game is not yet perfect. Mainly because Larian’s masterpiece is still plagued by many technical errors.
The first two huge patches have already fixed a lot of bugs, but there is still a lot left to do. With Patch 3, the studio will step up and possibly fix some of the bugs that are bothering you the most. Now the studio has announced when the next update will be released.
Patch 3 will be released on September 21st
You can expect the release of the next big update as early as next week. As the studio officially revealed in a tweet, the date for Patch 3 has now been set. This will be the first major patch for PlayStation players since its release.

What new features does the patch bring?
Baldur’s Gate 3 on Mac
No patch notes have been revealed for the new update, but Larian has announced an important innovation. With Patch 3, Baldur’s Gate 3 is finally supported on Mac. Until now, this only applied to the early access version, but now all Mac fans out there can be sure that they can also get it started from September 21st.
What is being fixed?
It is completely unknown which fixes will be included in Patch 3. So here we can only speculate. It is very likely that the new patch will also address performance again. Chief developer Swen Vincke recently said in a tweet that that the code team is close to achieving the performance they are striving for.
In addition, many players are hoping for various bug fixes and changes; some would like the romance with the Drow companion Minthara to be improved.
After Patch 1, the team also talked about the option to change the appearance of characters in-game. It is unclear whether the feature will be installed with Patch 3, but not completely unlikely.
