The public knows presenter Sonya Kraus primarily with long blond hair, which she wore wavy or slightly curled. Now the hair is a lot shorter.
The flowing golden mane was one of Sonya Kraus’ (49) trademarks for a long time. The presenter, who became known through the TV guessing show “Wheel of Fortune”, has changed her look very little over the years. Due to a breast cancer diagnosis in September 2021, however, there were some cuts in life for the “talk talk talk” blonde.
As with many other people, the chemotherapy resulted in Sonya Kraus losing her own hair. She was very open about it and said at the time: “About 85 percent of my hair has gone.” She also makes no secret of the fact that it can take longer for the hair to grow back or even become as full as it used to be.
Instead of hair frustration: Sonya Kraus relies on wigs
On her Instagram profile, the fun-loving moderator contributes to the fact that the topic of hair loss can be discussed openly. She encourages others in the same situation when she tells about her trip in short videos and reveals one or two “tricks from my wig know-how”. She also explains that she’s been gentle with her hair so far, so she doesn’t dye or style it much.
For this she tries out many looks with hairpieces, hats and wigs. She also shared a video in February showing how she had her hair cut to chin length, which was still very thin. This step was noticeably difficult for her and at the time she realized that her own appearance was still a little strange to her. In the meantime, however, the 49-year-old has apparently found a more relaxed approach to the topic and often posts photos of her chin-length haircut.
