Pleidelsheim – “Gigi who?” asked many RTL viewers when it became known that Luigi “Gigi” Birofio (23) would move to the jungle camp at the beginning of the year. Very few people knew that the 23-year-old was a fairly well-paid reality TV star.

He farted at the IBES moderators Sonja Zietlow and Jan Köppen during the jungle test, held his bare buttocks up to the camera and decided to eat a pizza himself rather than bring four eggs to his hungry fellow competitors in the camp. Nevertheless, Gigi Birofio is totally celebrated by the IBES fans. During his transition from Gigi to Luigi, he also showed his vulnerable side, becoming a team player and making it all the way to a silver medal in the Australian jungle.
The German-Italian has never been as authentic as in “I’m a star – get me out of here!” in any format. And at the age of 23, Gigi can already look back on a remarkable career in trash TV.
In addition to his TV presence, the trained industrial electrician is also successful as an influencer on Instagram and even sells hoodies with his name on them. And that’s quite profitable, as he now admits.

Gigi Birofio reveals how much he earns after the jungle camp
In an interview with Bunte.de, Gigi reveals in his typical way: “So now I would be German if I said ‘no, we’re not talking about money’, but I’m Gigi. Let’s do the best month: a month with a show, a few collaborations, 100 K…” 100,000 euros, which the 23-year-old, who still lives in his parents’ house in Pleidelsheim, earns in a month that is going well. If things continue to go so well for the rising star in trash TV heaven, the first million for Gigi shouldn’t be too long in coming.
But RTL won’t get him back into the jungle for any money in the world, Gigi assures: “If they offer me twice as much money, I won’t go in there anymore. Absolutely not!”
