Your preference for minis? Maximum!

On June 1st, Heidi Klum celebrates her 50th birthday – and is already taking stock of her life. She told Italy’s F magazine: “I’ve often been criticized for flaunting my body, but that’s who I am – I’ll still be wearing a mini skirt when I’m 70.”

Heidi showed ten years ago what this short announcement could look like in old age. She appeared at her legendary Halloween party dressed as a doddering granny – IN MINI!

But when are you too old for this Knapp couture? A British survey of 2,000 women was conducted last autumn. Amazing conclusion: From the age of 35, a woman should no longer wear a mini skirt.

This result should be Heidi BEINerlei. Her 18th season of “Germany’s Next Top Model” (ProSieben) starts tomorrow.

And Klum is guaranteed to dress up sexy again…

Fascination mini skirt

HE was the stuff of a real fashion revolution!

In 1962, designer Mary Quant (93) presented the first Mini in her London boutique: “A short skirt in which you could move freely and catch the bus. I knew: That’s it!” Within three years, the scandalous style (“immoral!”) became a sales hit.

FUN FACT: In Germany, the Mini had already appeared in 1932 – as an operetta costume (“Der Zarewitsch”).

In the 1960s he became a RELEVANT symbol of female self-confidence.

And style icons like Brigitte Bardot (88), Jane Birkin (76) and Twiggy (73) got the mini trend moving!

Mini skirt at 70? That’s what the celebrities say

Ice skating legend Marika Kilius (79): “I can’t stand the word ‘age appropriate’. What does clothing have to do with age? It has more to do with the figure you have to dress up. Fashion limits are usually only set in your head. I also wore mini skirts when I was 70.”

Ex-“Tagesschau” spokeswoman Dagmar Berghoff (80): “I wouldn’t wear a Mini myself when I was old, but Heidi Klum can certainly still afford it at 70.”

Ex-GNTM candidate Lieselotte Reznicek (67): “When you get older, it doesn’t necessarily depend on the length of the skirt, but much more on the fabrics. It just can’t look cheap. You can definitely wear a short skirt at my age!”

Pop star Michelle (51): “Thumbs up for Heidi! I fully support it and can only say that I would do the same. Everything is allowed as long as you feel good. That’s all that matters.”

Heino’s wife Hannelore (80): “I’ve never worn a mini skirt and of course I won’t do it when I’m old.”
