Between 10:00 am today and 03:00 am on Sunday, highlight will be the performance of Panda Bear & Sonic Boom, a collaborative project between Noah Lennox (Animal Collective) and Pete Kember (Sonic Boom), who will make known the album debut, “Reset”.

The Portuguese duo Bandua, which “reinterprets the popular songbook of Beira Baixa” with electronic music, the musician Serge Fritz, artistic name of Sérgio Freitas, from Sensible Soccers, and the artist Inês Malheiro also join the party.

Also noteworthy is the community show that brings together students from the Conservatório de Música Calouste Gulbenkian in Braga with the Orchestra of Electronic Devices, under the direction of Turkish researcher Ece Canli.

Today, “Cascade” is also inaugurated, a new exhibition by the Spanish artist Marc Vilanova, developed in an artistic residency at gnration.

When last February the anniversary program was announced, the artistic director, Luís Fernandes, reminded the Lusa agency that the profile of gnration was drawn up to “fill gaps in the city’s cultural offer”, betting on artistic creation and educational training for several public.

The space, inaugurated on May 1, 2013 in a former GNR barracks, has asserted itself “in a progressive way, without great megalomaniacities”.

“As we are a structure that deals with content in the area of ​​contemporary production, modern music, art and technology, we managed to gain support in terms of the public, in terms of the participation of the local and regional community”, he said.

In a press release, gnration mentions that in a decade it has already hosted around 300 thousand people.
