It’s official. Sandra Valero will be the next representative of Spain in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The young woman has been chosen from among more than a hundred young people who were looking to become one of the voices in the most famous music festival in Europe.
Sandra has 11 years old (12 years ago this August)and will be one of the artists who will take the stage of Nice (France) the next November 26with our country in search of a new title in this contest, having achieved the first, and only one up to now, in 2004, at the hands of such Maria Isabel who conquered Spain and all of Europe with his ‘Before dead than simple’.
Who is Sandra Valero?
Now, for those who wonder who Sandra Valero is, it is about a young woman who is a singer, actress and model from Benetússer, in Valencia. She comes from a family that has always been closely linked to the world of music, his father being his and his uncle being musicians and composers.
And it is that from a family so full of art, Sandra is the last one who knows what it is to shine on stage, starting to sing when she was only four years old, and now reaching Eurovision at the age of 12, having even gone through the ‘The Bodyguard’ musicaland playing the role of Mowgli in ‘The Jungle Book‘, and participated in television talents such as ‘Idol Kids’ and ‘The Voice Kids’having done it in the latter in 2022, just at the same time as its predecessor, Carlos Higeswith whom he was on Aitana’s team.
This is a young woman with great potential who, as RTVE has pointed out, has been unanimously chosen in a casting with record participation, captivating the jury and the public with ‘Part of your world’, from The Little Mermaid. RTVE received a total of 114 applications, 19 more than the previous yearand only 14 were chosen for a second and final test, in which Sandra Valero emerged victorious.
