The film Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse is particularly awaited by Marvel fans. Not even available yet, it already explodes a record.
The film animated Spider-Man Across The Spider-Verse is directed by director trio Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K. Thompson, and is produced by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, who also produced the first film Spider-Man : Into The Spider-Verse. Obviously on the casting side, the film will star Shameik Moore, who will take over the role of Miles Morales, the Afro-Latin American Spider-Man. A good opportunity to see what happens on the side of Spider-Man beyond the cult Peter Parker.
Spider-Man Across The Spider-Verse Success Story
The title Across The Spider-Verse implies as one can guess the presence of different dimensions of the universe Spider-Manwhich is already the case in the first film but also in the feature film No Way Home with Tom Holland in 2021. We can notably admire cult versions of the spider-man such as the famous Spider-Man 2099 who first appeared in comics in 1992. This is actor Oscar Isaac (Star Wars) who will lend his voice, knowing that he had already appeared in a post-credits scene of the first film. For the rest of the voice cast we can also count on Hailee Steinfeld (Charlie in Bumblebee) and Issa Rae who will be found very soon in another highly anticipated work: Barbie.
Scenario side, after reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Spidey is catapulted through the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-Heroes tasked with protecting its existence. This sequel to the hit animated film will feature six different dimensions, each with a different animation style. True consecration for the fans, the Peter Parker of the game Marvel’s Spider-Man will even be part of the feature film.
A big record before the release
The success of the first Into The Spider-Verse is undeniable since the work has won numerous awards, including the Oscar for best animated film in 2019. Needless to say, this sequel is expected at the turn. Especially since according to AMC Theaters (one of the largest chains of cinemas in the United States, somewhat the equivalent of our Pathé-Gaumont in France) the film would have a duration of 2h20. The longest Western animated film in history.
There is not long to wait to discover all this since the film is planned for the May 31, 2023 in our dark rooms.
