The CSU is once again losing its measure – despite all assurances of a “new togetherness”. The CSU creates a wedge in society by separating the majority and the minority. Wokeness and identity politics are defamed as a purely ideological struggle for individual interests. However, this fails to recognize that initiatives such as Black Lives Matter, gender-sensitive language or the MeToo movement are very much committed to a broader common good.
However, the party sees “anti-weekness” as a perfect opportunity to exploit perceived unequal treatment. Many political issues have now become very complicated. An emotional debate about a vaguely used term is just right, since there is not much to explain.
