Timo Schultz, former FC St. Pauli coach, would also benefit financially from the club’s future successes. As the ‘Bild’ reports, the 45-year-old ex-coach expects a promotion bonus including a salary increase if the Kiezkicker are promoted to the Bundesliga. Because despite his leave of absence at the beginning of December, Schultz still has a contract with Hamburg that is valid until 2024.

Since Schultz had to resign, St. Pauli has been doing extremely well after a weak start to the season. Under new coach Fabian Hürzeler (30), the team has won ten games in a row – a record in the second division. The club is currently in fourth place, four points behind the relegation place.
