After unveiling some great gameplay sequences, STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl is getting talked about again at the beginning of the year through an interview returning to the development of the game in a war zone, an opportunity to share new footage captured in-game.
The difficulties of developing in a war zone
The main producer of the title spoke with Wiredthus allowing Maria Grygorovych to express herself on the difficulties encountered by the Ukrainian studio.
Although 200 employees migrated to Prague in the Czech Republic, 130 of them remained in Ukraine, including some who defend the territory. Despite this titanic challenge, the new studio has been fully operational since last October.
Thus, the teams are motivated by the idea of delivering a major artistic work produced under the heavy shadow of war. The studio is aware that many eyes are on Ukraine, and therefore its title, hence the name change from STALKER 2 Heart of Chernobyl to STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl, to reflect the Ukrainian spelling.
GSC Game World is taking advantage of this interview to deliver 4 new images, allowing you to admire the devastated and hostile world depicted in STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl. The title is expected for this year on Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store. It will arrive the day it is released in the Xbox Game Pass.
