“It is an absolute privilege to join the LUMA team and I want to thank Wayne Stensby for his leadership as I assume this important role. I am excited to be able to spend my first few weeks traveling the island, listening and interacting with our clients, collaborators and the LUMA team. I sincerely believe that being honest about the challenges and working collaboratively to address them, we will build on the progress made thus far, and chart a path for success for LUMA and Puerto Rico,” said Juan Saca, LUMA’s incoming CEO.

Stensby, who will return to ATCO as COO of Calgary, Alberta-based ATCO Energy Systems, will work with the entire LUMA management team to ensure a smooth transition in the coming weeks.

“It has been an incredible honor to work in Puerto Rico, to serve our 1.5 million customers, and to lead the more than 3,000 men and women of LUMA over the past three years. Together, this incredible team has worked tirelessly to make improvements long lasting and measurable in the electrical system I want to thank our customers for their many words of support over the years and every member of the LUMA team for their commitment and dedication to our customers I also want to welcome Juan Bring out the LUMA family, I wish you all the best as you steer LUMA into an exciting new era of progress,” said outgoing LUMA President and CEO Wayne Stensby.
