Stromae, which made a comeback last year, picked up four nominations, including in the ‘Male Artist’ and ‘Song of the Year’ categories.
The nominees for the 38th Victoires de la Musique ceremony, which will take place on February 10 at the Seine Musicale in Paris, were announced on Monday.
Stromae, which made a comeback last year, topped the list with four nominations, including in the “Male Artist” and “Song of the Year” categories.
Bigflo and Oli as well as the trio Grand Corps Malade, Ben Mazué and Gael Faye are also nominated in the category of male artist of the year. On the “Female Artist” category, are named Angèle, Izïa and Pomme.
“Artists named in the previous edition in this category cannot compete this year in this same category unless a new album or EP is released during the reference period of the Victoires de la Musique”, according to the rules.
Pierre de Maere, Lujipeka, 4Keus and Jacques compete in the category of male revelation of the year. Mentissa, Emma Peters and November Ultra compete for female revelation.

Five tracks are competing in the Original Song of the Year category: Heart by Clara Luciani, Flame by Juliette Armanet, hell of Stromae, The quest of Orelsan, and One day I will marry an angel by Pierre de Maere.
The Victories will have to decide, for the best album of the year, By Your Side by Jeanne Added, Consolation of Apple, Short-lived of the trio Grand Corps Malade, Ben Mazué and Gael Faye, Multitude of Stromae and Ninety-Five of Angela.
Three clips will be in competition in the “Audiovisual creation” category: Getting old from Bigflo & Oli, sons of joy of Stromae and The quest from OrelSan. Three artists are nominated for best concert: Juliette Armanet, Clara Luciani and OrelSan.
The 38th Victory Ceremony will be broadcast on France 2 and France Inter from 9:10 p.m. and presented by Laury Thilleman. For the category submitted to the public vote, this can be done from January 9th to February 9th.
